packard bell

I got this bundle of joy to play with over Christmas holidays as I made up my mind about going back to big bulky desktops. At first I was apprehensive about buying it, especially since there were no reviews or much hype about the company (Packard Bell) or even worse this particular model.

I stumbled upon it on PC world for about £390 which is pretty good for a laptop of this calibre, It is small, light weight, and very powerful, as I am writing, I just finished playing call off duty modern warfare with more than average graphic settings. All this thanks to the T6400 core2duo intel processor and the ATI HD3470 graphics card, neither of them are champs but I guarantee you, £100 more on the price and the difference is meagre.

The luscious 13.3” provides for a high quality viewing, 250GB of hard disk is more than enough for the average user, although after 4weeks of usage, i have been left with less than 50Gb, All thanks to my broadband connection. The Bluetooth is a priceless feature if you tend to communicate with your phone often, I am into java programming, and the lack of cables makes life a bit bearable.

The touch sensitive control add that WoW factor to this incredible machine, I must admit, nobody I have met has resisted the urge to fiddle with the volume control, which I must admit it is damn irritating. The web cam is hardly noticeable, I have not actually use it, and I do not intend on starting, although I sleep peacefully knowing that it is there for me to fiddle with, am thinking of developing a java face recognition system, hmm..ill ponder on that one much later.

What interests me the most (not really) are the digital connection, there is an HDMI port and a DVI port as well, this just goes along to show that this laptop is pushing all the right buttons in the 21st century. The envy of this laptop would have to be the aluminium finish, on the palm rest, it generates light current that gives a massaging effect, Ace!!
There is nothing more to say about this laptop, I can only recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive and high performance laptop.
