iTunes has finally broken the 10 billion download barrier. Apple’s song download counter just hit the mark a few hours ago. It has been counting down for the last two weeks.
Just last month Apple’s app store hit the 3 billion downloads mark, considering that iTunes has been around way longer than the app’s store.
The 10 billion mark is just a reminder of how powerful Apple is in the music industry, it has generated millions in revenue for both itself and the industry.
I have a feeling Apple’s domination is about to get even bigger with the release of iPad around the conner and new iPod releases.
