I’ve personally never liked samsung phones, after owning a series of their ‘latest’ handsets which always ended up disappointing me after a few hours, remember Samsung pixon? 8mp camera, made headlines everywhere, and like a proper geek, i starved myself for a week to save up for it only to completely hate it after two hours of use, that was the worst £400 spent, i might as well donate to the government. But you’ll think someone should have learned a lesson from that, ohh no. The new Galaxy S has been announced, but this is a different story , its an android, built to take on the nexus one head to head.
Its just been announced at CTIA, acording to mashable the Galaxy S will feature a new screen technology dubbed “Super AMOLED,” which reportedly improves on regular old AMOLED by being 20% brighter, 80% less reflective and better at color reproduction while draining less battery.
The 4-inch screen will be complemented by a 1GHz processor, a content exosystem Samsung is calling “Smart Life,” native GPS support, DLNA (a technology that allows media sharing amongst devices that support it), and more details yet to come. It will be available worldwide this year, including the in U.K., although no release dates or pricing were announced. Check out a few more pics of the device below.
