I walked into a Three UK shop just yesterday and asked why they don’t have the iPhone, and as usual I was met with an arrogant reply, some gibberish about how iphones are not here to stay, I think this fella had personal issues with Apple, anyway, you can imagine how surprised I was this morning when I was doing my daily web roundups and found out that 3UK are indeed in the iphone race as well.

That’s now the complete set of five UK networks all ready to take your name and credit card number on launch day, while Three is also the first to announce its pre-order start date — which it places at June 15, the same time that Americans will be able to pre-order. Three’s strategy in the UK has usually been to undercut the big dogs with alluring pricing, so next week should be a very interesting time for British iPhone lovers indeed.

Attacks on Facebook during weekends are unfortunately becoming a trend. For the third weekend in a row users on Facebook are bombarded with messages on their walls talking about “Distracting Beach Babes”, “Sexiest Video Ever” or this latest attack which supposedly is the “Most Hilarious Video ever” shown in the screen shot below.

I know most of you fellas clicked on this and were deeply disappointed when nothing showed, right? =)

well this was definately not the last attack on facebook, theres a new bug running around, this time, it gets your facebook password, and depending where you are located, it can also grab your address.

Once you click on the link to view the video you are taken to a fake Facebook login page where you are tricked into entering your credentials. The login page look like the real thing except of course if you look at the address bar you can see that you’re not on facebook.com. But users can easily be tricked into thinking that they temporarily were logged out of Facebook and to continue they have to login.

The attack then returns you to Facebook, installs an app called “Media Player HD”, and asks you to download the “FLV player” — doing so installs malware on your machine. It gets worse: Depending on your location, you may also be presented with a contest to win an iPad … if you just enter your home address.

to avoid this, remove this link from your wall, and avoid clicking on it elsewhere, if you already fell victim of this , change your Facebook password, uninstall the Facebook app (search for or something similar “Media Player HD”), and run a virus/malware scan on your computer.

In my time wasting efforts, I managed to land on a pretty cool website for flash games, I know its a bit geeky, and not the kind of thing you want to talk about with your mates at the bar, but I think its pretty cool. notdoppler.com this is probably the best online games website out there,

If you want to kill some time or taking a break after a long day, try your hands on this. If you thought jetpack jackass or super mario crossover was amazing wait untill you see the catalogue on this site.

It has a top ten list of games on its home page, saving you time in your “time wasting” attempts , it also has a short preview on all the games. My personal favourites include, gibbets 2 (i couldnt save em all) ,impossible quiz 1 and 2 (which Ive beaten after several days) and kid launcher which is just hilarious. You can also download the games and play them offline.

I noticed that some games take a little bit longer to load than your average flash games, but this should not put you off, as I’ve found out, the wait is worth the experience. you can also join their facebook page for weekly updats. Give it a go and let me know what you think =)

Facebook, together with over 50 mobile operators in 45 countries around the globe, have just launched the new website 0.facebook.com. It brings all the key features of Facebook to people’s mobile phones, loads fast and comes for free. Yeap, zero data charges! But there’s a tiny little catch.

More than 100 million people are using Facebook’s services from their mobile devices but now, a lot of them will be able to continue doing that without having to pay for data charges.

The new site is designed to be faster than both Facebook’s core Web site and its traditional mobile site, but still offer the same features, according to the company’s blog. Users can view content, update their status, and keep in touch with their Facebook friends.

But the new mobile site won’t display photos by default. Users will have to click on a link to view any photo, and that’s where the free ride ends. Viewing a photo turns the data charges back on, as does clicking on a link to a third-party Web site. But a confirmation message will pop up notifying users that they may be charged if they leave 0.facebook.com.

The new mobile site will be available only in select places, including Brazil, Denmark, Greece, Hong Kong, India, and Turkey, and only through certain mobile carriers. But Facebook is promising that it will soon debut in other countries and with more carriers, including mobile operators in France and the U.K.

Mobile users outside of the supported countries and carriers can still access the Facebook through its standard mobile site or its site for touch-screen devices, though of course, data charges would still apply when going through a mobile carrier.

If you like free stuff, then get ready to be bombarded by adverts , your hours will aslo be capped to 20 hours per month which, according to Spotify, equates to 25 albums or 300 tracks. Now if you like listening to your music through out the day, lets say for 5-8 hours, you will only get to enjoy spotify for about 3-4 days…in a month.

These users will still be exposed to advertising and if they want to continue using the service after reaching their cap, they now have two payment options. They can either sign up to Spotify Premium, which costs £9.99 a month, offers offline mode and gives unlimited access to the service either through a mobile or PC without any adverts. This option has been in existence since Spotify launched.

Or users can choose a new payment option announced today called: Spotify Unlimited, which costs £4.99 a month and offers an advert-free, all-you-can-listen-to service. However, unlike Spotify Premium, users who sign up for this option cannot access their Spotify music on the move via their mobiles or their library in offline mode.

Existing Spotify users, who do not pay for the service, will not have their time capped. Nor is the company suspending the invitation service. Users who sign up with an invite code will not have their music consumption capped.

The service is continuing to add invitations to premium users’ accounts and free users are still able to issue invites to non-users.

The new pricing structure resembles that of We7, a British streaming service, which launched a two-tier plan in January 2010.

Last month Spotify upgraded its service with the addition of several significant social features, including a ‘Spotify Music Profile’ and Facebook friend integration tool.

The service has also rolled out in Holland, in addition to the UK, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland and France.

So how do you avoid this embarrassment? don’t buy one.

Let me introduce you to Dropbox, it has been around for a while now, its just about the coolest software you can have for synchronizing your files, and its quickly became one of my absolute essential softwares. your files are accessible across mac, windows, Linux and even mobile (android, iphone and Ipad) . the best thing about it is that…it just works and its just dead simple to use, just drag a file and “drop it in the box” or let it automatically sync your files for you =)

Dropbox doesn’t have to be limited to simply syncing your documents, photos, and music, however—with the proper setup you can completely synchronize your digital life across any PC. You can sync your passwords across PCs, access portable applications from your PC anywhere and finally control your computer remotely.

I highly recommend this software for anyone who hasn’t used it yet.

It’s called Super Mario Crossover,Its a little crazy but a hell lot of fun. This isnt mario as you know it, put several classic video game characters inside the Mario universe and you get an instant hit.. I used Bill (from contra) and this was the best 8 bit experience ive had for a while now. Here goes another lunch break. I hope you enjoy it.

Perhaps the biggest change in both devices is that kinetic scrolling has gone deeper down the interface and now you can enjoy it in grid menus – just as on Nokia 5800 XpressMusic after its latest update.

Furthermore, the Nokia X6 and Nokia 5230 will get the latest version of the touch web browser (ver. 7.2). Ovi Maps on those two will now get Lifecasting integration so you can share your locations with friends on Facebook.

Next up, the X6 and 5230 will also get Over-the-air software and app updating plus Flash video Phase 3 and the latest versions of Ovi Sync 2.0 and Ovi Music.

As usual the update is available through the Nokia Software Updater desktop application.

Like what you’ve seen of the Windows Phone 7 Metro interface? Wish you could make your desktop look like it?

Wish granted! A group of DeviantArt users has created the Omnimo theme for Rainmeter, the highly-customizable desktop information app for Windows. As you can see, Omnimo is a very faithful port of Metro’s angular, widgety good looks. Like most good Rainmeter themes, Omnimo is packed with customization options and includes 30 different panels you can place around your desktop.

You’ll need Rainmeter installed first, obviously – grab it from the official website.

I like the theme, but it makes me wonder — if it looks this good on a desktop, how will it look on a 3″ or 4″ phone screen? What do you think?
